Micah 7

7:1 Woe is me! for I am as when they have gathered the summer fruits, as the grape gleanings of the vintage: there is no cluster to eat; my soul desireth the first-ripe fig.
7:2 The godly man is perished out of the earth, and there is none upright among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net.
7:3 Their hands are upon that which is evil to do it diligently; the prince asketh, and the judge is ready for a reward; and the great man, he uttereth the evil desire of his soul: thus they weave it together.
7:4 The best of them is as a brier; the most upright is worse than a thorn hedge: the day of thy watchmen, even thy visitation, is come; now shall be their perplexity.
7:5 Trust ye not in a neighbor; put ye not confidence in a friend; keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom.
7:6 For the son dishonoreth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; a man’s enemies are the men of his own house.
7:7 But as for me, I will look unto Jehovah; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.
7:8 Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, Jehovah will be a light unto me.
7:9 I will bear the indignation of Jehovah, because I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold his righteousness.
7:10 Then mine enemy shall see it, and shame shall cover her who said unto me, Where is Jehovah thy God? Mine eyes shall see my desire upon her; now shall she be trodden down as the mire of the streets.
7:11 A day for building thy walls! in that day shall the decree be far removed.
7:12 In that day shall they come unto thee from Assyria and the cities of Egypt, and from Egypt even to the River, and from sea to sea, and from mountain to mountain.
7:13 Yet shall the land be desolate because of them that dwell therein, for the fruit of their doings.
7:14 Feed thy people with thy rod, the flock of thy heritage, which dwell solitarily, in the forest in the midst of Carmel: let them feed in Bashan and Gilead, as in the days of old.
7:15 As in the days of thy coming forth out of the land of Egypt will I show unto them marvellous things.
7:16 The nations shall see and be ashamed of all their might; they shall lay their hand upon their mouth; their ears shall be deaf.
7:17 They shall lick the dust like a serpent; like crawling things of the earth they shall come trembling out of their close places; they shall come with fear unto Jehovah our God, and shall be afraid because of thee.
7:18 Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth over the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in lovingkindness.
7:19 He will again have compassion upon us; he will tread our iniquities under foot; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.
7:20 Thou wilt perform the truth to Jacob, and the lovingkindness to Abraham, which thou hast sworn unto our fathers from the days of old.

Nahum 1

1:1 The burden of Nineveh. The book of the vision of Nahum the Elkoshite.
1:2 Jehovah is a jealous God and avengeth; Jehovah avengeth and is full of wrath; Jehovah taketh vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth wrath for his enemies.
1:3 Jehovah is slow to anger, and great in power, and will by no means clear the guilty: Jehovah hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.
1:4 He rebuketh the sea, and maketh it dry, and drieth up all the rivers: Bashan languisheth, and Carmel; and the flower of Lebanon languisheth.
1:5 The mountains quake at him, and the hills melt; and the earth is upheaved at his presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein.
1:6 Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his wrath is poured out like fire, and the rocks are broken asunder by him.
1:7 Jehovah is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that take refuge in him.
1:8 But with an over-running flood he will make a full end of her place, and will pursue his enemies into darkness.
1:9 What do ye devise against Jehovah? he will make a full end; affliction shall not rise up the second time.
1:10 For entangled like thorns, and drunken as with their drink, they are consumed utterly as dry stubble.
1:11 There is one gone forth out of thee, that deviseth evil against Jehovah, that counselleth wickedness.
1:12 Thus saith Jehovah: Though they be in full strength, and likewise many, even so shall they be cut down, and he shall pass away. Though I have afflicted thee, I will afflict thee no more.
1:13 And now will I break his yoke from off thee, and will burst thy bonds in sunder.
1:14 And Jehovah hath given commandment concerning thee, that no more of thy name be sown: out of the house of thy gods will I cut off the graven image and the molten image; I will make thy grave; for thou art vile.
1:15 Behold, upon the mountains the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace! Keep thy feasts, O Judah, perform thy vows; for the wicked one shall no more pass through thee; he is utterly cut off.

Proverbs 22:17-29

22:17 Incline thine ear, and hear the words of the wise, And apply thy heart unto my knowledge.
22:18 For it is a pleasant thing if thou keep them within thee, If they be established together upon thy lips.
22:19 That thy trust may be in Jehovah, I have made them known to thee this day, even to thee.
22:20 Have not I written unto thee excellent things Of counsels and knowledge,
22:21 To make thee know the certainty of the words of truth, That thou mayest carry back words of truth to them that send thee?
22:22 Rob not the poor, because he is poor; Neither oppress the afflicted in the gate:
22:23 For Jehovah will plead their cause, And despoil of life those that despoil them.
22:24 Make no friendship with a man that is given to anger; And with a wrathful man thou shalt not go:
22:25 Lest thou learn this ways, And get a snare to thy soul.
22:26 Be thou not one of them that strike hands, Or of them that are sureties for debts.
22:27 If thou hast not wherewith to pay, Why should he take away thy bed from under thee?
22:28 Remove not the ancient landmark, Which thy fathers have set.
22:29 Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; He shall not stand before mean men.

Revelation 10

10:1 And I saw another strong angel coming down out of heaven, arrayed with a cloud; and the rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire;
10:2 and he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left upon the earth;
10:3 and he cried with a great voice, as a lion roareth: and when he cried, the seven thunders uttered their voices.
10:4 And when the seven thunders uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying, Seal up the things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not.
10:5 And the angel that I saw standing upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his right hand to heaven,
10:6 and sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created the heaven and the things that are therein, and the earth and the things that are therein, and the sea and the things that are therein, that there shall be delay no longer:
10:7 but in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, then is finished the mystery of God, according to the good tidings which he declared to his servants the prophets.
10:8 And the voice which I heard from heaven, I heard it again speaking with me, and saying, Go, take the book which is open in the hand of the angel that standeth upon the sea and upon the earth.
10:9 And I went unto the angel, saying unto him that he should give me the little book. And he saith unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but in thy mouth it shall be sweet as honey.
10:10 And I took the little book out of the angel’s hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and when I had eaten it, my belly was made bitter.
10:11 And they say unto me, Thou must prophesy again over many peoples and nations and tongues and kings.
