Isaiah 24

24:1 Behold, Jehovah maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof.
24:2 And it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the creditor, so with the debtor; as with the taker of interest, so with the giver of interest to him.
24:3 The earth shall be utterly emptied, and utterly laid waste; for Jehovah hath spoken this word.
24:4 The earth mourneth and fadeth away, the world languisheth and fadeth away, the lofty people of the earth do languish.
24:5 The earth also is polluted under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, violated the statutes, broken the everlasting covenant.
24:6 Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are found guilty: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.
24:7 The new wine mourneth, the vine languisheth, all the merry-hearted do sigh.
24:8 The mirth of tabrets ceaseth, the noise of them that rejoice endeth, the joy of the harp ceaseth.
24:9 They shall not drink wine with a song; strong drink shall be bitter to them that drink it.
24:10 The waste city is broken down; every house is shut up, that no man may come in.
24:11 There is a crying in the streets because of the wine; all joy is darkened, the mirth of the land is gone.
24:12 In the city is left desolation, and the gate is smitten with destruction.
24:13 For thus shall it be in the midst of the earth among the peoples, as the shaking of an olive-tree, as the gleanings when the vintage is done.
24:14 These shall lift up their voice, they shall shout; for the majesty of Jehovah they cry aloud from the sea.
24:15 Wherefore glorify ye Jehovah in the east, even the name of Jehovah, the God of Israel, in the isles of the sea.
24:16 From the uttermost part of the earth have we heard songs: Glory to the righteous. But I said, I pine away, I pine away, woe is me! the treacherous have dealt treacherously; yea, the treacherous have dealt very treacherously.
24:17 Fear, and the pit, and the snare, are upon thee, O inhabitant of the earth.
24:18 And it shall come to pass, that he who fleeth from the noise of the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that cometh up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for the windows on high are opened, and the foundations of the earth tremble.
24:19 The earth is utterly broken, the earth is rent asunder, the earth is shaken violently.
24:20 The earth shall stagger like a drunken man, and shall sway to and fro like a hammock; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it, and it shall fall, and not rise again.
24:21 And it shall come to pass in that day, that Jehovah will punish the host of the high ones on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth.
24:22 And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison; and after many days shall they be visited.
24:23 Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed; for Jehovah of hosts will reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem; and before his elders shall be glory.

Psalm 86

86:1 A Prayer of David. Bow down thine ear, O Jehovah, and answer me; For I am poor and needy.
86:2 Preserve my soul; for I am godly: O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee.
86:3 Be merciful unto me, O Lord; For unto thee do I cry all the day long.
86:4 Rejoice the soul of thy servant; For unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.
86:5 For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in lovingkindness unto all them that call upon thee.
86:6 Give ear, O Jehovah, unto my prayer; And hearken unto the voice of my supplications.
86:7 In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee; For thou wilt answer me.
86:8 There is none like unto thee among the gods, O Lord; Neither are there any works like unto thy works.
86:9 All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord; And they shall glorify thy name.
86:10 For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: Thou art God alone.
86:11 Teach me thy way, O Jehovah; I will walk in thy truth: Unite my heart to fear thy name.
86:12 I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with my whole heart; And I will glorify thy name for evermore.
86:13 For great is thy lovingkindness toward me; And thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest Sheol.
86:14 O God, the proud are risen up against me, And a company of violent men have sought after my soul, And have not set thee before them.
86:15 But thou, O Lord, art a God merciful and gracious, Slow to anger, and abundant in lovingkindness and truth.
86:16 Oh turn unto me, and have mercy upon me; Give thy strength unto thy servant, And save the son of thy handmaid.
86:17 Show me a token for good, That they who hate me may see it, and be put to shame, Because thou, Jehovah, hast helped me, and comforted me.

Galatians 5:1-15

5:1 For freedom did Christ set us free: stand fast therefore, and be not entangled again in a yoke of bondage.
5:2 Behold, I Paul say unto you, that, if ye receive circumcision, Christ will profit you nothing.
5:3 Yea, I testify again to every man that receiveth circumcision, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.
5:4 Ye are severed from Christ, ye who would be justified by the law; ye are fallen away from grace.
5:5 For we through the Spirit by faith wait for the hope of righteousness.
5:6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision; but faith working through love.
5:7 Ye were running well; who hindered you that ye should not obey the truth?
5:8 This persuasion came not of him that calleth you.
5:9 A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.
5:10 I have confidence to you-ward in the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be.
5:11 But I, brethren, if I still preach circumcision, why am I still persecuted? then hath the stumbling-block of the cross been done away.
5:12 I would that they that unsettle you would even go beyond circumcision.
5:13 For ye, brethren, were called for freedom; only use not your freedom for an occasion to the flesh, but through love be servants one to another.
5:14 For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
5:15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.
