Esther 10

10:1 And the king Ahasuerus laid a tribute upon the land, and upon the isles of the sea.
10:2 And all the acts of his power and of his might, and the full account of the greatness of Mordecai, whereunto the king advanced him, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Media and Persia?
10:3 For Mordecai the Jew was next unto king Ahasuerus, and great among the Jews, and accepted of the multitude of his brethren, seeking the good of his people, and speaking peace to all his seed.

Psalm 44:17-26

44:17 All this is come upon us; yet have we not forgotten thee, Neither have we dealt falsely in thy covenant.
44:18 Our heart is not turned back, Neither have our steps declined from thy way,
44:19 That thou hast sore broken us in the place of jackals, And covered us with the shadow of death.
44:20 If we have forgotten the name of our God, Or spread forth our hands to a strange god;
44:21 Will not God search this out? For he knoweth the secrets of the heart.
44:22 Yea, for thy sake are we killed all the day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
44:23 Awake, why sleepest thou, O Lord? Arise, cast us not off for ever.
44:24 Wherefore hidest thou thy face, And forgettest our affliction and our oppression?
44:25 For our soul is bowed down to the dust: Our body cleaveth unto the earth.
44:26 Rise up for our help, And redeem us for thy lovingkindness’ sake.

Romans 15:14-22

15:14 And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.
15:15 But I write the more boldly unto you in some measure, as putting you again in remembrance, because of the grace that was given me of God,
15:16 that I should be a minister of Christ Jesus unto the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be made acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Spirit.
15:17 I have therefore my glorying in Christ Jesus in things pertaining to God.
15:18 For I will not dare to speak of any things save those which Christ wrought through me, for the obedience of the Gentiles, by word and deed,
15:19 in the power of signs and wonders, in the power of the Holy Spirit; so that from Jerusalem, and round about even unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ;
15:20 yea, making it my aim so to preach the gospel, not where Christ was already named, that I might not build upon another man’s foundation;
15:21 but, as it is written, They shall see, to whom no tidings of him came, And they who have not heard shall understand.
15:22 Wherefore also I was hindered these many times from coming to you:
