Genesis 33

33:1 And Jacob lifted up his eyes, and looked, and, behold, Esau was coming, and with him four hundred men. And he divided the children unto Leah, and unto Rachel, and unto the two handmaids.
33:2 And he put the handmaids and their children foremost, and Leah and her children after, and Rachel and Joseph hindermost.
33:3 And he himself passed over before them, and bowed himself to the ground seven times, until he came near to his brother.
33:4 And Esau ran to meet him, and embraced him, and fell on his neck, and kissed him: and they wept.
33:5 And he lifted up his eyes, and saw the women and the children; and said, Who are these with thee? And he said, The children whom God hath graciously given thy servant.
33:6 Then the handmaids came near, they and their children, and they bowed themselves.
33:7 And Leah also and her children came near, and bowed themselves: and after came Joseph near and Rachel, and they bowed themselves.
33:8 And he said, What meanest thou by all this company which I met? And he said, To find favor in the sight of my lord.
33:9 And Esau said, I have enough, my brother; let that which thou hast be thine.
33:10 And Jacob said, Nay, I pray thee, if now I have found favor in thy sight, then receive my present at my hand; forasmuch as I have seen thy face, as one seeth the face of God, and thou wast pleased with me.
33:11 Take, I pray thee, my gift that is brought to thee; because God hath dealt graciously with me, and because I have enough. And he urged him, and he took it.
33:12 And he said, Let us take our journey, and let us go, and I will go before thee.
33:13 And he said unto him, My lord knoweth that the children are tender, and that the flocks and herds with me have their young: and if they overdrive them one day, all the flocks will die.
33:14 Let my lord, I pray thee, pass over before his servant: and I will lead on gently, according to the pace of the cattle that are before me and according to the pace of the children, until I come unto my lord unto Seir.
33:15 And Esau said, Let me now leave with thee some of the folk that are with me. And he said, What needeth it? let me find favor in the sight of my lord.
33:16 So Esau returned that day on his way unto Seir.
33:17 And Jacob journeyed to Succoth, and built him a house, and made booths for his cattle: therefore the name of the place is called Succoth.
33:18 And Jacob came in peace to the city of Shechem, which is in the land of Canaan, when he came from Paddan-aram; and encamped before the city.
33:19 And he bought the parcel of ground, where he had spread his tent, at the hand of the children of Hamor, Shechem’s father, for a hundred pieces of money.
33:20 And he erected there an altar, and called it El-Elohe-Israel.

Psalm 29

29:1 A Psalm of David. Ascribe unto Jehovah, O ye sons of the mighty, Ascribe unto Jehovah glory and strength.
29:2 Ascribe unto Jehovah the glory due unto his name; Worship Jehovah in holy array.
29:3 The voice of Jehovah is upon the waters: The God of glory thundereth, Even Jehovah upon many waters.
29:4 The voice of Jehovah is powerful; The voice of Jehovah is full of majesty.
29:5 The voice of Jehovah breaketh the cedars; Yea, Jehovah breaketh in pieces the cedars of Lebanon.
29:6 He maketh them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young wild-ox.
29:7 The voice of Jehovah cleaveth the flames of fire.
29:8 The voice of Jehovah shaketh the wilderness; Jehovah shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh.
29:9 The voice of Jehovah maketh the hinds to calve, And strippeth the forests bare: And in his temple everything saith, Glory.
29:10 Jehovah sat as King at the Flood; Yea, Jehovah sitteth as King for ever.
29:11 Jehovah will give strength unto his people; Jehovah will bless his people with peace.

Matthew 10:34-42

10:34 Think not that I came to send peace on the earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
10:35 For I came to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law :
10:36 and a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.
10:37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
10:38 And he that doth not take his cross and follow after me, is not worthy of me.
10:39 He that findeth his life shall lose it; and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.
10:40 He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.
10:41 He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward: and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward.
10:42 And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only, in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you he shall in no wise lose his reward.
