Genesis 8

8:1 And God remembered Noah, and all the beasts, and all the cattle that were with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters assuaged;
8:2 the fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained;
8:3 and the waters returned from off the earth continually: and after the end of a hundred and fifty days the waters decreased.
8:4 And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat.
8:5 And the waters decreased continually until the tenth month: in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, were the tops of the mountains seen.
8:6 And it came to pass at the end of forty days, that Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made:
8:7 and he sent forth a raven, and it went forth to and fro, until the waters were dried up from off the earth.
8:8 And he sent forth a dove from him, to see if the waters were abated from off the face of the ground;
8:9 but the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned unto him to the ark; for the waters were on the face of the whole earth: and he put forth his hand, and took her, and brought her in unto him into the ark.
8:10 And he stayed yet other seven days; and again he sent forth the dove out of the ark;
8:11 and the dove came in to him at eventide; and, lo, in her mouth an olive-leaf plucked off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth.
8:12 And he stayed yet other seven days, and sent forth the dove; and she returned not again unto him any more.
8:13 And it came to pass in the six hundred and first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were dried up from off the earth: and Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and, behold, the face of the ground was dried.
8:14 And in the second month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, was the earth dry.
8:15 And God spake unto Noah, saying,
8:16 Go forth from the ark, thou, and thy wife, and thy sons, and thy sons’ wives with thee.
8:17 Bring forth with thee every living thing that is with thee of all flesh, both birds, and cattle, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth; that they may breed abundantly in the earth, and be fruitful, and multiply upon the earth.
8:18 And Noah went forth, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons’ wives with him:
8:19 every beast, every creeping thing, and every bird, whatsoever moveth upon the earth, after their families, went forth out of the ark.
8:20 And Noah builded an altar unto Jehovah, and took of every clean beast, and of every clean bird, and offered burnt-offerings on the altar.
8:21 And Jehovah smelled the sweet savor; and Jehovah said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake, for that the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more everything living, as I have done.
8:22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

Psalm 8

8:1 For the Chief Musician; set to the Gittith. A Psalm of David. O Jehovah, our Lord, How excellent is thy name in all the earth, Who hast set thy glory upon the heavens!
8:2 Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou established strength, Because of thine adversaries, That thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.
8:3 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, The moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;
8:4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? And the son of man, that thou visitest him?
8:5 For thou hast made him but little lower than God, And crownest him with glory and honor.
8:6 Thou makest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; Thou hast put all things under his feet:
8:7 All sheep and oxen, Yea, and the beasts of the field,
8:8 The birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea, Whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.
8:9 O Jehovah, our Lord, How excellent is thy name in all the earth!

Matthew 4:12-22

4:12 Now when he heard that John was delivered up, he withdrew into Galilee;
4:13 and leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the borders of Zebulun and Naphtali:
4:14 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying,
4:15 The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, Toward the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles,
4:16 The people that sat in darkness Saw a great light, And to them that sat in the region and shadow of death, To them did light spring up.
4:17 From that time began Jesus to preach, and to say, Repent ye; for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
4:18 And walking by the sea of Galilee, he saw two brethren, Simon who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishers.
4:19 And he saith unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you fishers of men.
4:20 And they straightway left the nets, and followed him.
4:21 And going on from thence he saw two other brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them.
4:22 And they straightway left the boat and their father, and followed him.
